One thing I try to do each time I am in Greece, though I sometimes don't manage it, is to see the sunrise. Santorini is famous for its sunsets, but I think I like the sunrise even better. It's quiet, private, and personal, compared to the sunset, which requires one to fight the madding crowd. It's a time for reflection, or intimacy, or awe. Or all of them.
I missed seeing a sunrise in Perissa this year, and I regret it.
