"Reverse Jellyfish" -SOLD

6" by 6" - Glass Cabochon, Mexican smalti, dichroic, obsidian, garnet
Many mosaic artists over the years have mosaicked jellyfish. This is my contribution to the mosaic jellyfish world. I reversed the colors that one would normally use: clears, whites, and pinky reds, with blue water, and replace them with their opposites. My red smalti did not go as far as I thought it would, so towards the end, I had to pop in some deep oranges. I think it turned out to be one of those serendipitous problems. The inky black cabochon is from my stash from Marian Shapiro. Thanks Marian!

Love this! I too was about to do a jellyfish but got sidetracked with another project. Thanks for inspiring me to get back to it! :-)
