"The Watchers" -SOLD

6" by 7" - Marble and Mexican Smalti

This is the first mosaic in my mosaic a day project. There is something really freeing about working so small. Maybe it's the low level of commitment--I usually work on pieces that take days to produce. I can just experiment and play with the materials in this format. This is going to be fun. Man, I love working with large chunks of smalti!

Margo, I love it!!! There is so much energy flowing up and out of this piece. You are a true inspiration for all of us. What a gift you have for andamento. mixing textures and a great eye for color. Believe that the inspiration will come daily and the ability to feed us all with energy and life...and some good income too! Blessings to this new endeavor!!!

I'm taking a page out of your book and doing one per week. I can't imagine one each day! Really beautiful work! I can't wait for each new piece!

After being creatively "frozen" for ten months I have picked up my tools and begun the largest piece I have conceived to day. I will look to this site for inspiration and motivation. Many thanks and extended blessings to you Margo.
